Sánchez goes 3-for-4 in Syracuse Win
Starks designated hitter Carlos Sánchez put his stamp on his team's 12-8 win over the Montreal Machine. Sánchez went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 6 for Syracuse in the contest. Syracuse reliever Wan-hua Yi picked up the win to move to 3-1. Lance Leslie suffered the loss. At 17-22, Syracuse is in 7th place in the Premier AAA.

In the top of the third inning, right fielder Bill Strong had a 2-run double for Syracuse. It was his 7th double of the season and put the Starks on top, 6-4.

"I don't care about style points," Strong said. "I only care about winning."
