O-jun Kun could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Syracuse Starks lost, dropping a 3-1 decision to the Sacramento Redlegs at Stark Stadium. Javier Dávila, the winning pitcher, improved to 3-5. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 7 hits and 1 run, while striking out 5 and walking 2. Chris Evans finished to wrap up his 12th save.

Sacramento used a clutch at-bat from Sandross Bañaga to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Redlegs ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We took home the win," said Bañaga. "What's not to like?"

The Redlegs go to 23-17, putting them third in the Premier AAA.
