Monsters Lose, 6-1, at KC Reserve Stadium
The Athletic Club KC Reserves got a strong performance from pitcher Martin Elzey, who stymied the Monongahela offense en route to a win, 6-1, at KC Reserve Stadium. In 8.2 innings, Elzey surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run. Athletic Club KC is last in the Premier AAA with a record of 17-23.

Isaaka Kaikala had a big 2-run double for the Reserves in the bottom of the second inning. With Athletic Club KC leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Manuel Peña and swatted a double to left. It was his 12th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Reserves ahead, 4-1.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Elzey told the Athletic Club KC Gazette.
