Flyers Reel Off Another Win
|
The Pennsauken Flyers did just enough to sneak past the Baton Rouge Brass, 5-4, at Brass Field. Pennsauken pitcher Rodrigo Herrera, in particular, had a standout performance. Herrera, now 3-2, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 4 runs. Pennsauken has now reeled off 8 straight wins.
It could have been a different outcome for Pennsauken, had it not been for Clifford Tolbert, the 31-year old shortstop . Tolbert contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put Pennsauken up, 5-3.
"We're in some kind of groove right now," said Herrera.
