At The Zoo in Syracuse, the Sacramento Redlegs and Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Sacramento Redlegs took it on the chin, losing, 10-0, to the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys. Cody Beasley, who is tied for 10th in the PAAA with a 2.30 ERA, pitched a strong game for Syracuse. The 8th-place Squirrel Monkeys now have a win-loss record of 19-23.

Sidney Ames swatted a grand slam home run for Syracuse in the bottom of the eighth. The left fielder went 2 for 5 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and batted in 4.

"I wish every win came this easy," said Ames.
