Patriots Score Late, Top Voodoo, 4-3
|
New Orleans got a terrific performance from pitcher Al Hussey, but it wasn't enough to beat the Boston Patriots. Boston won the Dunkin Donuts Park contest, 4-3. Hussey threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. With the win, the Patriots sit at 26-16.
Boston got a game-changing hit from José Cuebas. The third baseman blasted a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a winner.
"This place was rockin'," said Cuebas.
