Flyers Rally to Eke Out Win
The Pennsauken Flyers picked up a win at Stark Stadium, knocking off the Syracuse Starks, 3-2, in 10 innings. On the mound for Pennsauken was right-hander Gin-fan Dou. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. Bill Hayes came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 1-1. The 9th-place Starks have lost 5 consecutive games.

Pennsauken used the timely hitting of Jorge Ybarra to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Flyers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Pennsauken manager Dave Morse.
