Féliz Pops Two Homers in 6-3 Win for Ellenburg
|
Led by Júlio Féliz, the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds defeated the Baton Rouge Brass, 6-3. Féliz went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a double, while scoring 3 and driving in 4 for the Fighting Dachshunds. Fernando Ríos closed the door for Ellenburg, picking up his 1st save of the year. The loss makes Baton Rouge 22-22.
Féliz had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 0-1 splitter from Joe Casey, he banged a 2-run home run to center, giving the Fighting Dachshunds a 4-3 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Féliz.
Féliz called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
