Syracuse Drops Another One, 3-0
|
The exploits of left fielder Cris Ortíz, who is tied for 8th in the PAAA in runs scored with 21, helped the Pennsauken Flyers defeat the Syracuse Starks, 3-0. Ortíz went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs. Syracuse is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.
Jorge Ybarra had a critical at-bat with no one out in the top of the sixth for Pennsauken. He came through with a solo home run to put Pennsauken in front, 2-0.
"From the last whatever, five, six, seven games, there's really only one way to go and that's up," said losing manager Homer Robertson.
