Flyers Rally Late to Nip Redlegs
|
Flyers center fielder Alberto Montés left his imprint on his team's 5-4 win over the Sacramento Redlegs. Montés was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 for Pennsauken in the contest. Ronald Montés picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jeff Rodríguez suffered the loss. Pennsauken goes to 26-20, Sacramento to 23-23.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Montés hit a fastball from Jeff Rodríguez for a run-scoring single. The Flyers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Montés, "and then get after it again."
