Boston Makes It 6 Straight with 7-5 Win
The Boston Patriots extended their winning streak.

Vern Gordon was a major factor in the 7-5 Boston win over Buffalo. The Patriots catcher went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Iiri Lahti earned the win for Boston. He lasted 8 innings, allowing 5 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 4-2. Marx Lieftink was credited with the save for Boston, his 3rd of the season.

Gordon had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-0 cutter from Kyle Collins, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Patriots a 7-4 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Gordon.
