Redlegs Top Flyers to Even Record
|
Boosted by the 2-hit performance of Jordan Sercombe the Sacramento Redlegs defeated the Pennsauken Flyers, 6-2. The Redlegs now have a record of 24-24 with the win over Pennsauken.
With Sacramento leading 1-0 in the top of the fifth, Sercombe came up to bat against Pennsauken pitcher Bob McCann. Sercombe hit a fastball to left for a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season put the Redlegs on top, 4-0.
"I thought we played a nice game," Sercombe told the Sacramento Citizen. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
