Powered by Jason Cholmondoley, the Sacramento Redlegs downed the Kansas Rainbeaus, 7-4. Cholmondoley went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Redlegs. Steve Crabtree picked up the win with 6.2 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 7. On the season, he is now 3-0. Picking up his 5th save was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Miguel Ortíz.

With Sacramento leading 4-2 in the bottom of the fourth, Cholmondoley came up to bat against Kansas pitcher Lambert Fierant. Cholmondoley hit a sinker to left for a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Redlegs on top, 7-2.
