Machine Suffer 4-2 Loss to Flyers
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 29-year old shortstop Vincent Michel, the Pennsauken Flyers stopped the Montreal Machine, 4-2, in 9 innings. Pablo Gonzáles earned the save for Pennsauken. The second-place Flyers now sit at 32-19.
With Pennsauken leading 2-0 in the bottom of the first, Michel hit a 2-run single off Montreal hurler Victor Lagers. It was the 18th hit of the season for Michel and put his team ahead, 4-0.
"It wasn't a very good day at the ballpark," said Montreal manager Alfonso Vera.
