Squirrel Monkeys Win 6-5 Nail-Biter Versus Fighting Dachshunds
|
Ellenburg left fielder Juan González had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 6-5, to Syracuse in 10 innings. González was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Huibert Illidge, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. With the win over Ellenburg, the Squirrel Monkeys improved to 26-25.
The Squirrel Monkeys got a clutch hit from third baseman Jakob Presser. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to right, to win the game for the Squirrel Monkeys.
