Fighting Dachshunds Earn 6-5 Win Versus Redlegs
|
Ellenburg beat Sacramento at Sacramento Sanitation Station, eking out a 6-5 win. The win was due in large part to pinch hitter Juan González. He went 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Ellenburg reliever Hamish Mitchell picked up the win, raising his record to 4-0. Chris Evans was tagged with the loss. The loss makes Sacramento 18-33.
González had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 2-2 slider from Chris Evans, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Fighting Dachshunds a 6-5 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for González.
"We found a way to get it done," González said.
