Starks Win Again, 4-1, Extend Streak to 6

The Syracuse Starks stymied the Norfolk Pajaritos, 4-1, at Norfolk Field. Carl Watson had a good day at the plate. He was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for Syracuse. Conan Knox was the winner. Over 7 innings, he yielded 1 run on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts. Mario Méndez earned the save, his 13th.
Bill Strong was vital to the Syracuse win. He was 2 for 5 with 2 singles. In the top of the fourth with no one out, Strong hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 1-0, in favor of the Starks.
