The Pennsauken Flyers turned back the Syracuse Starks, 4-3, at Pennsauken Park. Patrice Ragot, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The win gives Pennsauken a season record of 26-25.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Pennsauken shortstop Clifford Tolbert, facing Bob Porter, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Flyers the 4-3 win.
"Winning is always a team effort," Ragot said after the game.
