In the 4-3 Kansas win over Montreal, the impact of Chris Gutiérrez was substantial. Gutiérrez, who is tied for 6th in the PAAA in triples with 2, went 4 for 4 with a double and 3 singles. Kansas is now 34-18, 4 games up in the Premier AAA.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Timmy Derp? The 22-year old shortstop Derp stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Kansas up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
