Bakersfield wasted a solid 8-inning effort from starting pitcher David Sullivan, losing to Sacramento, 2-1, at Sacramento Sanitation Station. Chris Evans earned the save for Sacramento, his 1st of the year. The Redlegs go to 19-33 with the win.

Tied up with the Nobles in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Redlegs got a boost from catcher Edmond King. With a runner on 2nd, King saw a 0-1 fastball from David Sullivan and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Sacramento on top, 2-1.

"It never gets old," said King. "Winning, that is."
