Sacramento turned a fine outing from starter Dustin Burgess into a victory over the Bakersfield Nobles at Sacramento Sanitation Station. The final score was 7-1. The win was credited to 29-year old right-handed pitcher Chris Evans in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Ed Dodman took the loss. The Redlegs are now 26-26.

Sacramento took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Kel Allen hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Redlegs.
