Fighting Dachshunds Beat Pajaritos, 6-3
|
Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds starter Al Moore found his groove in his team's 6-3 win over the Norfolk Pajaritos. Moore, the winner, moves to 5-3. He threw 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 2 walks. Jody Dunn earned his 14th save, after closing out the game.
In the bottom of the third inning, first baseman Lou Pennington had a 2-run double for Ellenburg. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Fighting Dachshunds on top, 2-0.
Ellenburg manager Pedro Rodríguez called it "a good, solid win."
Ellenburg's record now stands at 28-25, placing them 4th in the Premier AAA.
