The Baton Rouge Brass downed the Philadelphia Liberty Reserves, 5-3. The hitting star was left fielder José Marrero. Marrero was 3-3 with 3 singles and was hit by a pitch for the Brass. The defeat makes Philadelphia 32-22.
In the bottom of the seventh, Baton Rouge pinch hitter Ray Draper gave his team the lead. With two out and the bases loaded, Hangover hit his 5th double of the year. Philadelphia pitcher Juan Zapata surrendered it. With that, the Brass jumped in front, 5-3.
"José is still learning," said Brass manager Luis Ruíz. "The sky's the limit for him."
