Flyers Earn 6-2 Home Win
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Jersey City Tritons and Pennsauken Flyers get after it.
Pennsauken right fielder Cris Ortíz was instrumental in helping the Flyers triumph, 6-2, over the Jersey City Tritons. Ortíz was 4-4 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Robert Walls finished the game for Pennsauken and earned his 1st save.
Preston Wilson had a big 2-run home run for the Flyers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Pennsauken leading 3-2 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a sinker from Harvey Caldwell, who is tied for 4th in the PAAA in complete games with 1, and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Flyers on top, 5-2.
Pennsauken manager Dave Morse commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
Pennsauken raised its record to 34-21 with the win.
