Syracuse registered a win at Stark Stadium by beating the Montreal Machine, 3-0. Pitcher Jorge Toledo was one reason why the Starks triumphed. Syracuse, now 27-28, holds down 7th place in the Premier AAA.

Bill Strong had a big solo home run for the Starks in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Syracuse leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he got a fastball from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Lance Leslie and swatted a home run to left. It was his 4th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Starks ahead, 2-0.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Strong said.
