Drummers Suffer 7-3 Loss to Flyers
|
The Pennsauken Flyers beat the Tortolita Drummers, 7-3, at Drummers Ballpark. The Flyers got a fine performance from second baseman Rob Robinson, who was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. Remie den Braber picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 4 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 3. On the season, he is now 2-2. The Flyers, now 30-25, have won 4 in a row.
Pennsauken used the hitting of Juan Martínez to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Flyers on top, 2-0. For the game, Martínez had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Robinson told the Pennsauken Chronicle.
