Syracuse Drops Another One, 3-1
|
Baton Rouge pitcher Anthony Coleman did his part in helping his team beat the Syracuse Starks, 3-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Pedro Cruz earned the save for Baton Rouge, his 1st of the year. The Premier AAA-leading Brass have a record of 39-16.
Qing-nian Zhai came through with a big-time hit for Baton Rouge. The first baseman smacked a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
Baton Rouge manager Luis Ruíz called it "a darn good win."
