In a low-scoring contest between the Buffalo White Walkers and the Hollywood Shredders, Howard Randolph was the X factor. The Buffalo right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Reliever Johnny Flannery picked up the win. His record improves to 2-1. Roy Huntingford, who leads the PL with a 0.94 WHIP, took the loss. Buffalo has 5 straight wins, Hollywood 3 straight losses.
Had Tyler Adams not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Adams hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the White Walkers.
"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Randolph told the Buffalo Herald.
