Nobles Trip Fighting Dachshunds, 2-1, in Extra Innings
The Bakersfield Nobles did just enough to secure a victory over the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds, 2-1, in 10 innings at Jerome Grounds. Nobody did more than pitcher Sanya Matlah. Jared Wilson earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record is now 2-3. The loss makes Ellenburg 29-27.

The Nobles got a clutch hit from designated hitter Jesús Rosário. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to left, to win the game for the Nobles.

"Now that's my kind of ending," said a smiling Matlah.
