The Baton Rouge Brass dealt the Sacramento Redlegs a 5-4 loss at Sacramento Sanitation Station. Xue-liang Ci was the star on offense. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Getting the save was Anthony Bailey, his 3rd. The first-place Brass are now 37-20, the Redlegs 21-36.

Had Ci not come through in the top of the seventh, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Ci hit a 3-run home run. The Brass took the lead, 4-1, and never looked back.

Ci offered a curt "no comment" when asked to discuss the win after the game.
