Flyers Chalk Up 4-1 Win
|
The Pennsauken Flyers downed the Kansas Rainbeaus, 4-1, at Pennsauken Park. Stellar pitching by Juan Pacheco had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is tied for 3rd in the PAAA in wins with 6, handcuffed his opponent all game. The winning pitcher was Pacheco, now 6-3. He tossed 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 5. Walt Stephens collected save number 3.
Brody Peck dealt the Rainbeaus a blow in the bottom of the first. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Pennsauken leading 1-0, Peck hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run single.
"I executed the game plan," said Pacheco.
Pennsauken is in 5th place in the Premier AAA with a record of 29-28.
