Flyers Win at Home, 6-3
|
Pennsauken Flyers starter Bob McCann was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Jersey City Tritons, 6-3. Alex Nelson sewed up the save, his 4th. After today's action, Pennsauken sits at 33-26; Jersey City slips to 27-32.
Emílio Lozano had a big 2-run home run for the Flyers in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Pennsauken leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from Marty Collins, who is tied for 6th in the PAAA with a 7.7 K/9 rate, and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 5th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Flyers ahead, 3-0.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," McCann said after the game.
