The inspired effort of Hartford left fielder Mario Rodríguez was not enough to prevent a loss, 6-4, to the Port Huron Blitzkrieg. Rodríguez went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. The winner was Eric Morris in relief. His record improves to 5-3. Larry Cox took the loss. The Blitzkrieg now own a record of 30-30.

Ray Parker hit a 3-run home run off Larry Cox in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Blitzkrieg ahead, 5-2. In addition to the homer, Parker had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
