Dog Park in Ellenburg was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Baton Rouge Brass and Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds.

The Baton Rouge Brass beat the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds, 5-4, in 11 innings, in part because of first baseman Domingo Gómez. He went 3 for 5 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs. The win was credited to 32-year old left-handed pitcher Tomás Garza in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Ed Fox took the loss.

Gómez had a game-changing double in the top of the 11th. On a 2-2 fastball from Ed Fox, he banged a run-scoring double to right-center, giving the Brass a 4-3 lead. It was the 5th double of the year for Gómez.

"We found a way to get it done," Gómez said.

The Premier AAA-leading Brass have a record of 44-16.
