Stingers Suffer 6-3 Road Loss
|
The Seattle Rocketeers saddled the Toledo Stingers with a loss at Boeing Dome. The final score was 6-3. Chong-hun Chon was 2 for 4, including 1 single and 1 home run. The Seattle right fielder scored 2 runs and drove in 1. Artie González got the win, improving to 2-3. He worked 5 innings, giving up 3 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. Bill Hayes earned the save, his 6th, for the Rocketeers.
Seattle got a big at-bat from San Ignacio, Belize native Brian Orpen, who in the bottom of the third hit a run-scoring double. It was his 7th double of the season and put the Rocketeers ahead, 2-0.
"It's still just a game," said Chon, "whether you win or lose."
The 9th-place Rocketeers sport a record of 19-26.
