Florence Wins, 3-2, Over Flyers
|
The Florence Flamingos topped the Pennsauken Flyers, 3-2, in 10 innings at Florence Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Florence pitcher Nelson McNeil. The win went to Héctor Salas in relief, making him now 3-0. José Durán took the loss for Pennsauken. With the win, the Flamingos are 21-41.
The Flamingos procured the win, in large part because of left fielder Doug Miller. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"Chalk one up for the good guys," said McNeil. "I'm sure our fans enjoyed that win."
