Lahti, Patriots Stop Shredders, 4-2

The Boston Patriots topped the Hollywood Shredders, 4-2, in United States Premier League action at Dunkin Donuts Park. The standout performance belonged to Boston pitcher and Kunhegyes, Hungary, native Iiri Lahti. Anthony Carney wrapped it up, recording his 2nd save. Boston bumps their record to 28-17 with the win.
Lahti's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 7 strikeouts in 6.1 innings while allowing 2 hits. Lahti, who finished 5th in the PL in wins with 10 in 2053, goes to 4-3 on the year with 49 strikeouts.
"Iiri did a good job keeping the game under control," said Boston manager Tyler Carter.
