Led by Jim Klein, the Philadelphia Liberty Reserves defeated the Sacramento Redlegs, 12-9. Klein went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 2 for the Liberty Reserves. The first-place Liberty Reserves have won 4 in a row.

The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Klein delivered big-time for Philadelphia, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Miguel Ortíz. The game-changing hit put the Liberty Reserves on top, 9-8.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Kiril Neuvel said.
