Machine Lose Late to Fighting Dachshunds
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds knocked off the Montreal Machine, 11-7, at Stade Olympique. Alfredo Bermúdes was a big reason Ellenburg won. The catcher was 4-4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Ellenburg pitcher Ray Duncan earned the win, hiking his record to 1-1. Rudolph Williams suffered the loss. Aloysius Minch came through with a big-time hit for Ellenburg. The center fielder smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 11-7. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Minch. "And not try to do too much."
