Blitzkrieg Need Extra Innings to Top Drummers, 10-8
Port Huron starter Eric Morris pitched well against the Tortolita Drummers at Drummers Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a win, 10-8. Esko Haapakoski snagged the win in relief. The left-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits over 2 innings. He's now 3-1 on the season. The Blitzkrieg saw their win-loss record go to 33-31. At the same time, the Drummers fell to 36-28.

Port Huron used the timely hitting of Balanatha Simha to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Blitzkrieg on top, 9-8. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Blitzkrieg manager Steve Ferguson.
