Nobles Stay Hot, Beat Hot Chickens, 7-1
|
Bakersfield got a strong outing from Aaron Daniels as the Nobles defeated the Nashville Hot Chickens, 7-1, at Jerome Grounds. The first-place Nobles have won 10 in a row.
Owen Bagshaw had a big solo home run for the Nobles in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Bakersfield leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a changeup from Takakazu Ishihara, who is tied for 9th in the PAAA in wins with 6, and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Nobles on top, 2-0.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Bagshaw told the Bakersfield News. "It's as simple as that."
