Red-Hot Voodoo Win Again
Alex Thompson was superb against Philadelphia. The right-hander, who led the PL in strikeouts with 162 in 2060, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Voodoo victory. The score was 5-1. Thompson got the win, improving to 10-0. He gave up 3 hits and walked 2 over 6.2 innings. He allowed 1 run. The Premier League-leading Voodoo have a record of 31-14.

With no one out in the bottom of the fifth, Fred Burton hit a go-ahead, 2-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and with it the Voodoo took a 2-0 lead.

"I like the roll we're on right now," said Burton after the game.
