Sacramento parlayed a decent outing from starter Jack Hill into a solid win over the Tortolita Drummers. The final score was 5-2. The second-place Redlegs are 39-26.

The Redlegs got an important contribution from catcher Ralph Elmore, who in the top of the fourth hit a slider to right for a 2-run double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Redlegs ahead, 5-0.

"We're not exactly playing great right now," said Marcos Costa, the Tortolita manager.
