The Syracuse Starks got a stellar performance from pitcher Cisco Morales, who handcuffed the Norfolk offense en route to a win, 10-2, at Stark Stadium. Morales, who leads the PAAA in complete games with 3, went the distance for Syracuse. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. The Pajaritos have now dropped 5 straight.

The Starks got an important contribution from second baseman Al Thurman, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a 2-0 fastball to left-center for a bases-clearing double. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Starks ahead, 9-1.

"When you don't put the pitches where they're supposed to be, they hit you hard," said Norfolk skipper Phil Baker.
