Flyers Handled by Sacramento, 2-1
|
The Sacramento Redlegs got a magnificent effort from pitcher Brian McDaniel, who kept Pennsauken hitters in check en route to a 2-1 Redlegs win at Pennsauken Park. McDaniel yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 4, and struck out 6. His record improves to 1-9. With the win, Sacramento has a record of 27-39. Pennsauken falls to 39-27.
Elvin Baldwin was a prime factor in the win for the Redlegs. In the top of the third with one out, the 25-year old first baseman hit a run-scoring single. He went 1 for 4.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said McDaniel.
