Flyers Rally For 4-2 Win
|
Baton Rouge got a valiant performance from pitcher J.J. Hebert, but it wasn't enough to beat the Pennsauken Flyers. Pennsauken won the game, 4-2. Hebert threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Pennsauken reliever Rich Banks was the winner. His record is now 3-3. Tomás Garza took the loss. José Durán earned his 5th save, after closing out the game.
Pennsauken used a clutch hit from Pedro Palgon to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Flyers ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
Said losing manager Luis Ruíz: "Give the Flyers credit. They played a better game than we did."
The Flyers now own a record of 38-28.
