Redlegs Score Late, Upend Rocks, 3-1

The Sacramento Redlegs took Plymouth pitcher José González's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Plymouth Quarry. The final score had Sacramento getting past the Rocks, 3-1. González went 7 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 7. Carroll Kelly was credited with the save for Sacramento, his 6th of the season. Sacramento raised its record to 41-26 with the win.
Esteban Ortega, who leads the PAAA in stolen bases with 22, had a direct impact on the outcome. Ortega contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the ninth inning to put Sacramento up, 2-1.
"You need to show up when your number's called," said Ortega.
