Bakersfield got a terrific game from catcher Ignacio Aguirre. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Sacramento, 4-3. Aguirre went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The 7th-place Redlegs are now 33-34, the Nobles 31-36.

Elvin Baldwin was the walk-off hero for Sacramento. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Redlegs designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Baldwin.
