Jersey City Loses Again, 3-2
|
The Baton Rouge Brass picked up a win at Jersey City Grounds, courtesy of Sixto Espinosa. The right-hander helped his team stop the Jersey City Tritons, 3-2. The losses continue to add up for Jersey City, having now dropped 9 straight.
Baton Rouge used a well-timed hit by Jesse Wirth to capture the win. The first baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Brass ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
After the game, Baton Rouge manager Luis Ruíz applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
