The Jersey City Tritons and Baton Rouge Brass played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.

The Jersey City Tritons turned back the Baton Rouge Brass, 3-2, at Jersey City Grounds. Harry Harvey, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Nathan Sims picked up the win, lifting his record to 2-2 on the season. He struck out 4 and walked 2 in 6.1 innings, while yielding 2 runs.

In the first inning, Harvey had a 2-run home run for Jersey City. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Tritons on top, 2-0.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Harvey.

The first-place Brass now sit at 44-24.
