Kansas first baseman Paul Sherman played a vital role in his team's 9-5 conquest of Montreal. He went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Kansas. Carter King picked up the win, improving his season record to 7-4. He struck out 2 in 5 innings. Mike McCauley notched his 6th save in 6 chances.

Kansas used a well-timed hit by Nathan Dooley to capture the win. The center fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Rainbeaus ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
