The Bakersfield Nobles went home winners at Sacramento Sanitation Station, thanks in large part to starter Sanya Matlah. Matlah stifled the Sacramento Redlegs, enabling Bakersfield to grab the 4-0 win. Matlah, the winner, moves to 2-4. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 2 walks. Israel Ramos collected his 2nd save.

Bakersfield used the hitting of Owen Bagshaw to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a solo home run in the top of the third inning to put the Nobles on top, 2-0. For the game, Bagshaw had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
