White Walkers Come Up Short at Seattle, 5-4
|
The Seattle Rocketeers took Buffalo pitcher Mario Gonzáles's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Boeing Dome. The final score had Seattle getting past the White Walkers, 5-4. Gonzáles went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs, striking out 4. The save went to James Tucker, number 13 for him. The Rocketeers saw their win-loss record go to 23-23. At the same time, the White Walkers fell to 29-17.
Seattle took a 5-3 lead on José Costa's 8th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Costa hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Buffalo pitcher Johnny Flannery visibly frustrated.
"We were the better team," crowed Costa.
