Waddington, Sacramento Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
Christos Waddington, who is tied for 4th in the PAAA with a 8.1 K/9 rate, never let the Starks get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his knuckle curve, to pitch the Redlegs to a win, 2-0. Chris Evans, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 8th save. The Redlegs move to 29-41 with the win, while the Starks drop to 34-36.

Waddington, a native of Waitakere, New Zealand, was dealing all game. He kept Syracuse hitters off-balance, while giving the Redlegs 8 quality innings. Waddington threw 99 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 3.

"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Waddington.
