The Syracuse Starks pinned a convincing loss on the Tortolita Drummers, 9-2, at Stark Stadium. Manny Estrada was a main factor in the win. He was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for Syracuse. Millard Clement collected his 1st save. The Starks raised their record to 27-43.

In the bottom of the sixth, the Starks grabbed the lead when Estrada hit his 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Carlos Gómez made it 5-2, Syracuse.

"We didn't put our best foot forward tonight," said losing manager Marcos Costa.
