Brass Earn 6-4 Home Win

The Baton Rouge Brass beat the Bakersfield Nobles, 6-4. Baton Rouge pitcher and Sancti Spíritus, Cuba, native Tomás Garza led the way. Baton Rouge now has a record of 46-24 with the win.
Pepe Santos had a big 2-run double for the Brass in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Baton Rouge leading 4-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a curveball from David Sullivan, who is tied for 2nd in the PAAA in quality starts with 10, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Brass ahead, 6-2.
"Solid performance from our side," said Brass manager Luis Ruíz.
