6-4 Loss Extends Syracuse Skid

The 2057 season is getting uglier for Syracuse.
The Tortolita Drummers defeated the Syracuse Starks, 6-4, at Stark Stadium. Tortolita left fielder Francisco Cardenas had a superb performance. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Mike Davidson recorded his 15th save for Tortolita.
With Tortolita leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Cardenas batted against Syracuse pitcher Shigetoki Kato. Cardenas hit a sinker to right for a 3-run home run. His 10th home run of the season put the Drummers on top, 4-0.
"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Cardenas.
Syracuse is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.
